After visiting my great-grandparents, I flew at to the NAC E in Dallas to referee. It was very fun, and we had great food, which was abnormal. There were no big calls I had to make (I reffed epee) but I did get obvserved. I was given some pointers, mostly to speed bouts up, which, after applied, proved very useful. The only troubling fencers I dealt with were fencers who didn’t bring extra weapons to the strip, or were going to hook up a weapon they knew didn’t work. I mean, really guys. Really.
